An autonomous organization under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), of Ministry of Social Justice Empowerment, Government of India. Institute deal with the various aspects of rehabilitation of the Hearing Impaired, various undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral level programmes are being offered, centres aimed at meeting local and regional needs in terms of manpower development and services for speech and hearing disabilities.
